Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities
Design electrical circuits for multiple diverse customers. Daily responsibilities may include circuit design/troubleshooting, embedded software design/test, and lab testing of devices. Finish Line supports many customers whose projects are in various stages of development. It is expected that the person in this role will contribute to all phases of product development. This person must also have excellent people skills and be able to communicate technical subjects to non-technical people on the team.

Electrical Engineer Job Duties

Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required skills

Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related technical field plus 2-5 years experience.
Ability to use lab equipment to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics of mixed signal systems.
Ability to design low power embedded systems using Microchip, Atmel and Ti processors.
Solid understanding of ADC circuits and ability to design high resolution data loggers
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to wok in the lab independently and with technicians to develop prototype systems.
Ability to write embedded firmware (C/C++) for real time embedded systems

Desired skills

Analog circuit design including power supplies and sub 1GHz radio frequency communications circuits.
Understanding of communications protocols (TCP/IP, GSM) and modulations schemes (FSK, PSK,QAM)
PCB layout and schematic capture using PADS tool suite.
Android/iOS development
