Project Overview
Our client produced power for their product using a mud turbine, which used the flow of drilling fluids to generate electrical power and needed a switching regulator that could convert this variable AC power to regulated DC power. This regulator not only had to operate in an extreme environment (>350F and 250Gs) it had to perform to a 5-to-1 input voltage range due to the variability of the mud flow.
