Current wireless charging systems need to sit on a pad, and if moved, even slightly, will stop charging. These older systems are reliant on a mutual coupling between the charger and the phone. Using a patented RF power coupling technology developed by Finish Line PDS, the test proved that several feet of coupling was possible, even in a real-world environment with highly dielectric moving objects (people).
